The USMC Ka-Bar was the option knife for the US Marine Corp. Since the introduction of the OKC M9, the Ka-Bar was discontinued because the M9 can do as many wonderful things as the Ka-Bar. Many people worldwide believe that the Ka-Bar is a sharp knife; well, it's not meant to be a sharp knife, like one of those used for camping. If it's used for camping, enthusiasts can sharpen the Ka-Bar. The Ka-Bar foremostly is a self-defence weapon for operations. Its use is primarily for hand and knife combat, reconnaissance, and ambush attacks. The Marines can also use the Ka-Bar as an option bayonet. However, it may not fit nicely as the OKC M7, M9 or 3S, but it's still doable with some added materials or fittings that make the knife fit snugly onto the rifle's barrel. The choice of assault rifle here is either the M16 or the M4 Carbine. The other use for this knife is to adopt it into a wire cutter. The sheath for the Ka-Bar is simple and made of leather. The disadvantage of this leather sheath is that it's meant to have it secured just above the ankle on either side of the leg, and the sock and military boot should cover the knife. As a person who collects this weapon, there's no complaint at all because that's the way it is. If enthusiasts want to have a different sheath, perhaps they should custom made one for the Ka-Bar to enhance it on their belt. So, that's about it on the Ka-Bar.
